Redings Mill Fire Protection
District proudly protects 22,000 people living in
an area of 110 square miles. We operate from 6
stations which protect primarily rural areas.
Our department is a public department whose
members are on a combination of paid and
volunteer status. We have an ISO rating of 5/7.
The Redings Mill Volunteer Fire
Protection District is a young department established in 1978. We have grown from an
all-volunteer membership supported department,
to a tax-supported district with 7 paid
professionals, and a manned station 24 hours a
day. In addition, we have a residence program at
stations #2, 5, and 6. With the addition of
these manned stations, our response time has
improved. Our volunteer list is made up of
extremely dedicated individuals who
continuously make sacrifices to serve the
citizens of their community.
